Raiders Out On Quarterbacks In First Round?
2 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders explored trading up to No. 1 overall for Alabama quarterback Bryce Young earlier this offseason, but they couldn't get anything done, and everything ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay is hearing now suggests the Raiders are out on the quarterbacks. The belief now is that Vegas will instead target a cornerback at pick No. 7, either Illinois' Devon Witherspoon or Oregon's Christian Gonzalez. Witherspoon is the more physical cover corner and is projected to be the slight favorite over Gonzalez. The Raiders have a need at defensive tackle, too, so Georgia's Jalen Carter could be the team's pick here as well.
