Raiders Not Worried About QB Situation
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said that he isn't concerned about reports and rumors that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) might not be able to play this year. "I have no anxiety," McDaniels said. "You guys may have anxiety. I have no anxiety." Garoppolo signed a three-year, $72.75 million free-agent deal with the Raiders on March 17 and also signed a waiver/release because of his injured left foot. He had surgery on his foot after signing with the Raiders, and he hasn't been able to practice during OTAs. The Raiders are hoping to have Jimmy G available for the start of training camp, but they also aren't putting a timeline on his return. Veteran Brian Hoyer, who has plenty of experience in McDaniels' system from his time with the Patriots, has been taking first-team reps so far this offseason.
