The Las Vegas Raiders interviewed UCLA head coach Chip Kelly at least twice for their vacant offensive-coordinator job under head coach Antonio Pierce, according to sources. Kelly appeared to be open to a return to the NFL, but the Raiders and Pierce ultimately decided to go with former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury for the job. Kelly is best known for his fast-paced offenses that mix in run-pass option looks that have found much more success in the college game than at the NFL level. He went 26-21 as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach and was fired in his third season with the team in 2013. Kelly then went 2-14 as the head coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. He hasn't found the kind of success at UCLA (35-34 since 2018) that he had while coaching the Oregon Ducks, when he went 46-7 in four seasons, including an appearance in a National Championship and two Rose Bowls.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
