Rachaad White 2023 Outlook: Potential Workhorse With Receiving Upside
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White shared a backfield with Leonard Fournette during his rookie season but still saw 58 targets, catching 50 of them for 290 yards and two touchdowns. Both Tampa Bay running back averaged fewer than 4.0 yards per carry behind a banged-up offensive line. For now, Fournette is not expected to be back with the team, so White looks to be the primary back for the Bucs in the post-Tom Brady era. The Tampa Bay offense could struggle mightily under Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask, but either quarterback will likely lean on White for easy completions out of the backfield. He has a great opportunity ahead of him with his only competition for touches being Chase Edmonds and Ke'Shawn Vaughn, so he's likely being underpriced in fantasy drafts. He's being priced as a high-end RB3, but can far exceed those expectations in PPR formats with receiving volume -- even if the Bucs mightily regress on the offensive side of the ball.
