Rachaad White 2022 Player Outlook – Premier RB Bench Stash
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White was always an exciting fantasy prospect thanks to his receiving profile (18.9-percent college target share). However, the hype train picked up more steam when Tampa Bay selected him on day two of the NFL draft. Sure, he's buried behind Leonard Fournette on the depth chart, but he's now one of the top bench stashes with league-winning upside. Fournette has played in just 66-of-81 possible games during his five-year career, so we can assume he'll miss a game or two in his age 27 season. White has instant RB1 upside from the jump if Fournette suffers a significant injury. The Tom Brady pass-catching running back has proven to be a valuable fantasy asset for two decades, and White checks all the boxes you want in that role. Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Giovani Bernard remain on the roster for now, but it's hard to believe Tampa would've drafted White on day two in a win-now season if he wasn't going to step into the RB2 role immediately. Ultimately, White is an injury away from being the primary back in an offense who will sit near the top in red-zone trips, passing attempts, and touchdowns. Those who love to draft Tony Pollard and Alexander Mattison should also be in on White in 2022.
