Los Angeles Kings forward Quinton Byfield suffered a fractured ankle in his team's preseason contest with the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday. The Kings have placed the hulking center on injured reserve and he will be re-evaluated in a few weeks. The 19-year-old, who had a strong shot to make the Kings' NHL roster, is coming off a professional rookie season in which he posted 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 32 games with the Ontario Reign of the AHL. The Kings might ease Byfield back into game action (which would likely be in the AHL) once he returns from injury but he remains a highly-valued asset in any and all keeper league formats.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
