Quintez Cephus 2021 Outlook: Ready to Make The Leap
4 years agoQuintez Cephus made the jump to the NFL early after a tumultuous career at Wisconsin filled with peaks and valleys. Cephus saw the field immediately and in the first half of his rookie season was catching less than 50% of his targets. That number shot up in the second half of the season and he was looking like a solid contributor. Now with the exit of the starting receivers from 2020 and a new quarterback at the helm, Cephus will have a chance to shine. He seems to be forming chemistry with new Lions quarterback Jared Goff as well as doing and saying all the right things behind the scenes. While not blessed with amazing natural talent, Cephus will have every chance to shine in 2021 and it's mostly due to attrition over skill. Regardless, Cephus is a steal in many leagues as he could become the new favorite target for Jared Goff. Cephus can be had for free as he is currently ranked outside the top 100 and he is someone that has legitimate upside on a wide open depth chart.
