Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes (lower body) was back in practice Sunday, which is a big step towards returning to action. He has missed four games after picking up a lower-body injury. The team has struggled badly at the start of the season, but Hughes enjoyed fine form before getting hurt, averaging a point per game through five outings and posting a plus-one rating. He skated with Luke Schenn in practice, and it looks like the Canucks could get their top defensive pairing back together for Tuesday's home game versus New Jersey. Fellow blue-liner Riley Stillman (undisclosed) also returned to practice Sunday, while Oliver Ekman-Larsson sat out the session. --Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
