Quentin Johnston Shows Off Ability In Offseason Practices
1 year agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Quentin Johnston demonstrated an ability to make plays across the middle of the field and stretch a defense down the sideline throughout the team's offseason program. "He's that guy," star safety Derwin James said. "Him being able to get open, him being able to have the confidence to be able to go through his drills and be able to -- every catch, he's finishing his runs." "His range is really, really tremendous," said first-year offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. "The other thing that we've highlighted is his ability to make plays after the catch. You can certainly see that, his suddenness to get in and out of breaks once he catches the ball, the transition to a runner, that will be really big for him." Johnston is special, but he could struggle for consistent production in his rookie year behind both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
