1 year agoThe Seattle Mariners are in serious talks with the Philadelphia Phillies that would send shortstop Jean Segura to the Phillies, according to sources. Segura would first need to waive his full no-trade clause for this trade to go through. The Mariners would likely receive shortstop J.P. Crawford as part of a package for Segura. The 28-year-old Segura is on the rise and contribute in all categories for fantasy owners. He hit .304/.341/.415 with 10 home runs, 63 RBI, 91 runs and 20 stolen bases for Seattle in 2018. Crawford has a lot of upside despite disappointing so far in his limited time in the big leagues. He'll be worth a late-round flier in deep mixed leagues if he's traded to Seattle. The Phillies could still go after free-agent shortstop Manny Machado and put him at third base if they land Segura.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
