Philip Rivers Facing Tough Matchup
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has his work cut out for him this week. Coming off the bye, Rivers is matched up against the stingiest defense in the league versus opposing quarterbacks. Seattle's Legion of Boom may be gone, but head coach Pete Carroll has reloaded his defense with stellar players at every level. Rivers will also have to contend with the famed Seattle crowd as the 12s regularly force opposing quarterbacks to have to run no-huddle offenses throughout the game. Rivers may also be missing his star running back, Melvin Gordon, who is questionable due to a lingering hamstring injury. However, with all those things stacked against him, Rivers is still a must-start because he's on pace to top 4,000 yards passing and has a ridiculous 17/3 TD/INT ratio this season. Just know that he's going to have a fight on his hands.
