Peter Alonso Keeps Raking in Spring Training
The name change from Pete to Peter has done Peter Alonso some good in spring training, as he's one of the league leaders with a 1.296 OPS. He also owns a .414 AVG, which is also one of the best marks in the early going. In total, Alonso has 12 hits in 29 at-bats. He's provided three doubles and three home runs. Alonso is currently battling Dominic Smith for starting first base duties in New York but Smith is currently 12-of-26 as well. Both players are desperate to show that they've improved in the offseason. Whoever wins out is worth a look in fantasy, as they'll have a formidable spot in a much-improved lineup.
