Restricted free agent Pavel Buchnevich signed a four-year, $23.2 million contract with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. He had recently been acquired from the Rangers when New York determined they would be unable to afford him. Buchnevich's contract will carry a $5.8 million AAV but the Blues could soon be parting ways with unrestricted free agents Jaden Schwartz, Mike Hoffman, and Tyler Bozak. The club is also looking to trade disgruntled forward Vladimir Tarasenko. Buchnevich had a breakout offensive season in 2020-21 with 20 goals and 48 total points in 54 games. He also set a career-high in ice time with close to 19 minutes per game. The 26-year-old left-winger is a veteran of five NHL. He'll likely be a highly sought-after fantasy commodity this fall. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
