Paul Skenes Has Quality Start, Earns Fourth Win Monday
6 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher rookie sensation Paul Skenes continued to impress in Monday's 4-1 win over the Reds. Skenes pitched six innings, allowing one run on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. The 22-year-old has looked every bit like one of the top fantasy prospects in baseball, going 4-0 with a 2.29 ERA, a 12.13 K/9 rate, a 1.60 BB/9 rate, and four quality starts in seven starts and 39 1/3 IP. He should have a good opportunity to add another quality start to his season in his next scheduled start, which will be a favorable matchup against a struggling Rays lineup.
