Paul George Posts A Double-Double With Assists
2 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Paul George had his third double-double of the campaign Monday versus Detroit, leading all scorers with 32 points and matching his season high with 11 assists. The Clippers ended up winning the game 142-131 in overtime following a strange turn of events, as head coach Tyronn Lue pulled George and the rest of the starters in a 14-point deficit with only a few minutes left in the fourth quarter but the second unit ended up extending the game. George then returned to action and factored in 12 of the team's 14 points in the extra frame. He finished with 9-for-19 shooting from the field and went 2-for-7 from downtown while hitting 12-for-14 at the foul line. His shooting was poor, but George made up for it with his defensive work, recording three steals and one block.
