Paul George 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George had a career year in 2018-19, which put him in the MVP discussions for a good chunk of the season. He eclipsed many of his career highs, including points per game (28.0), rebounds (8.2) and assists (4.1). He also led the league in steals with 2.2 per game. His numbers might have been even better if he hadn't struggled with a shoulder injury at the end of the season. George had surgery on his left shoulder in July, which could lead to him missing the start of 2019-20. With that said, he isn't expected to miss a lot of games, so fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much about it. After teaming up with Kawhi Leonard in L.A., the stage is set for George to have another very strong year. PG and Kawhi are going to have to sort out who's going to be the first option, but there's a decent chance George might even improve on his last year's numbers as he won't be playing with a ball-dominant point guard anymore.
