St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (ribs) has reportedly had a "more positive last 24-36 hours," according to manager Mike Shildt. He has resumed baseball activities and has been fielding grounders as well. It sounds like DeJong will begin his rehab assignment later this week. Edmundo Sosa has filled in nicely for DeJong while he's been sidelined. That being said, the Cards are likely going to proceed with caution with DeJong while Sosa is hitting well. In the meantime, Sosa could continue to be an interesting short-term fantasy option while DeJong is out. Hopefully, DeJong will return at some point next week.--Andy Webb
