St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (hand) is expected to miss 4-8 weeks while he recovers from his fractured left hand. DeJong had surgery to insert a metal plate and screws into the hand. There was no timetable given when he was first injured, so this is the first time news has come out about his recovery time. Jedd Gyorko, Greg Garcia, and Yairo Munoz figure to continue filling in for DeJong at shortstop.--David A Marcillo
