9 months agoChicago Cubs corner infielder Patrick Wisdom (quadriceps) is expected to return to Cactus League action on Tuesday versus the Kansas City Royals. Wisdom was scratched from the team's spring training game on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies with right-quadriceps tightness, but it's not a major issue and he should be ready to go after taking the weekend off to rest up. The 32-year-old right-handed slugger should be ready in plenty of time for Opening Day at the end of March. The former first-round pick by the Cardinals in 2012 out of Saint Mary's has hit 20-plus homers in each of the last three years, but he doesn't provide much else for fantasy managers and may play sparingly in 2024.
