Panthers Still Talking With DJ Chark
2 years agoCarolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer said that the team is still talking with free-agent wide receiver DJ Chark, but nothing is resolved yet. Carolina signed former Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen to a three-year, $25 million deal on Sunday to help replace DJ Moore after they traded him to the Chicago Bears, but apparently the Panthers are still open to adding Chark to bolster their receiving corps. It could still use a boost, as Terrace Marshall Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. aren't exactly scaring opposing defenses on game days. Chark had a 1,000-yard season and scored eight touchdowns for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, but he's been limited by injuries over the last three seasons and had 30 catches for 502 yards and three touchdowns in only 11 games for the Detroit Lions in 2022.
