1 week agoUtah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (rest) and forward Joe Ingles (rest) have been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Gobert has not played in the preseason yet, but he doesn't really need to warm up. He played for France at the FIBA tournament and the Jazz aren't going to push him. Both players should be fine for opening day and hold reliable fantasy value.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Utah Jazz

1 week agoNew York Knicks forward Kevin Knox (calf) was not able to participate in Wednesday's practice. Knox suffered a strained right calf during Monday's preseason game. Head coach David Fizdale downplayed the injury, so hopefully it's nothing serious. Knox should hold some pretty solid fantasy value in most formats, assuming he gets regular minutes in the rotation.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NY Knicks PR

1 week agoChicago Bulls point guard Tomas Satoransky will jump into the starting five for Wednesday's preseason contest against the New Orleans Pelicans. Kris Dunn was given the start during the first preseason game, but the Bulls are likely going to switch it up in camp. Dunn appears to have the edge over Satoransky, but both players should hold decent fantasy value to start the season.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Sun-Times Basketball

1 week agoGolden State Warriors guard/forward Alec Burks (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He suffered right ankle sprain on Friday and hasn't suited up since then. The Warriors have little depth at the wing position, so Burks does have a path to minutes. However, health is always a concern and it's hard to trust him in anything other than deep leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Nick Friedell

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks guard Kevin Huerter (knee) will not suit up for Wednesday's preseason contest versus the Orlando Magic. Huerter has been dealing with a knee issue and is expected to miss most of the preseason. Deandre Bembry gets a chance for more minutes without Huerter on the court. Fantasy owners can go ahead and grab Huerter in the last few rounds in most formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Chris Kirschner

1 week agoCharlotte Hornets guard Malik Monk (toe) will play during Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Miami Heat. Monk missed the summer league, but is ready to show that he improved since last season. This very well could be his last chance to prove he can be an impact player in the NBA. The Hornets are desperate for scorers, so Monk needs to prove his value. Monk is worth a look towards the end of most drafts because he does have some upside in Charlotte.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Rick Bonnell

1 week agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (rest) might not suit up for Thursday's preseason contest, according to head coach Doc Rivers. It appears unlikely that Leonard is going to suit up at all this preseason. The Clippers want to be cautious with Leonard going into a huge season for the organization. There is going to be plenty of resting for Leonard throughout the season, so fantasy owners are going to have a headache with Leonard.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Jovan Buha

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks forward John Collins (knee) is listed as probable for Wednesday's preseason game against the Orlando Magic. Collins is dealing with left knee tendon pain, but the team doesn't believe it's a serious issue. The fact he's probable is a great sign that the issue is nothing to be concerned about. Collins is going to be an early target in most fantasy leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Brad Rowland
Share:
1 week agoGolden State Warriors center Kevon Looney (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason contest. Looney injured his hamstring last week and hasn't played since then. The Warriors don't believe it's a serious issue, but want to remain cautious here. Omari Spellman is expected to draw the start, while Marquese Chriss will get a chance to earn more minutes. Looney is worth looking at in the second half of most drafts.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Nick Friedell

1 week agoChicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. (tailbone) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason contest against the New Orleans Pelicans. Carter has suffered an ankle sprain and now a tailbone injury during camp this season. However, the Bulls expect Carter to be fine for the regular season opener. He'll have solid upside in fantasy leagues as long as he can stay healthy.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: K.C. Johnson

1 week agoSacramento Kings center Harry Giles (knee) did not suit up for practice on Tuesday. He has been ruled out for Thursday's preseason contest against the Phoenix Suns. The MRI on Giles' left knee came back clean, but the main focus for the team is getting Giles healthy for the regular season. It does sound like Giles will be fine for the regular season opener. However, he could be a tough guy to own in fantasy leagues with that nagging knee issue.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: James Ham
Share:
1 week agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (back) is expected to make his team debut in Tuesday's preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He missed all of last season due to a back injury. He hasn't played in a basketball game in 19 months, so expect the Nuggets to be careful here. Porter should have some fantasy value, but that depends on his health.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Denver Post
Share:
1 week agoNew York Knicks forward Marcus Morris was ejected after elbowing Justin Anderson during Monday's preseason contest. Morris was tossed from the game after swinging his elbows at Anderson and then bouncing the ball off his head. There is a chance that Morris gets suspended for his actions. That means, Morris would miss some regular season games to start the season. Kevin Knox would likely slide into the starting five if Morris gets suspended.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: New York Daily News

1 week agoMiami Heat forward Kelly Olynyk (knee) won't suit up for Tuesday's preseason contest against the San Antonio Spurs. Olynyk is dealing with a right knee bone bruise that he suffered in August. He's been limited since then, but the Heat haven't given much of a timetable yet. He could be looking at missing the beginning of the regular season, but it shouldn't cost him more than a few games, hopefully. More information should be known in a few days.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Heat PR

1 week agoBoston Celtics center Enes Kanter will probably come off the bench, according to head coach Brad Stevens. The Celtics believe that having Kanter play with the second unit will allow him to get into the post more often. Kanter played well off the bench during the preseason opener on Sunday. He should be able to contribute to fantasy leagues even coming off the bench this season.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Marc D'Amico
