3 months agoESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that veteran guard Alec Burks has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Heat. The 32-year-old was acquired by the New York Knicks from the Detroit Pistons last season and averaged 6.5 points in 13.5 minutes in 23 games during the regular season. He received more playing time in the playoffs when the Knicks were hit with injuries, and scored nearly 18 points per game in the Eastern Conference semifinals. It remains to be seen what type of role Burks will have with the Heat.Source: ESPN
3 months agoESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that veteran forward Joe Ingles has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 36-year-old sharpshooter will move on from the Orlando Magic and try to help the Timberwolves take another step forward next season after the team made it to the Western Conference Finals. 3 months agoFormer second overall pick James Wiseman will link up with the Indiana Pacers for the 2024-25 NBA campaign. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 23-year-old center has agreed to a two-year deal with the team. It's expected to be a minimum-salary contract for Wiseman, who has struggled to establish himself in the NBA. After being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2020, Wiseman spent the last season and a half in Detroit, averaging 8.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 19.5 minutes. The Nashville-born big man still has time to develop and he's shown glimpses of very good ability, but Wiseman will likely struggle to get action in Indianapolis with Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson ahead of him on the depth chart.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoBoston Celtics forward/center Xavier Tillman Sr. has agreed on a new contract with the team. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Tillman will sign a two-year deal. It's reportedly a minimum-salary contract for the 25-year-old, who will earn an estimated $2.2 million for the upcoming season and $2.5 million for the 2025-26 campaign. Tillman made 20 appearances for Boston in 2023-24 after arriving from Memphis in February, posting 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.7 minutes off the bench. 3 months agoOrlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has renegotiated his contract with the team, agreeing to a five-year extension. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Isaac will be paid $84 million for his services. Isaac was set to enter the final season of a four-year, $69.9 million deal. The 26-year-old has spent much of his NBA career in the treatment room but has proven himself as a fantastic defender. Despite averaging only 15.8 minutes across 58 games in 2023-24, Isaac led the Magic with 1.2 blocks. He also lowered opponents' shooting accuracy when guarding them by six percent to share a league-best mark with Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Rudy Gobert. Offensively, Isaac contributed 6.8 points off the Magic bench while grabbing 4.5 rebounds.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoThree-point specialist Buddy Hield is set to join the Golden State Warriors. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Warriors are in "serious" talks with the Philadelphia 76ers on a sign-and-trade deal that would take Hield to San Francisco. Hield finished off a four-year, $94 million deal with the 76ers after landing in Philadelphia through a mid-season trade from Indiana. He would add much-needed outside shooting to the Warriors following the departure of Klay Thompson. While his numbers dropped in 2023-24, Hield has been a 40 percent career shooter from behind the arc, averaging 15.5 points with 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists.Source: Shams Charania
3 months agoLeBron James will return to the Los Angeles Lakers on a two-year contract. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, James will sign a maximum $104 million deal, which includes a player option for the 2025-26 campaign and a no-trade clause. Ahead of free agency, James opted out of the final year of his previous deal with the Lakers, which would have paid him $51.4 million. He was always expected to return to the team, especially after the Lakers drafted his son Bronny last week. The two are set to become the first father and son and duo to play in the NBA at the same time. 2024-25 will be James' 22nd NBA campaign. He will match Vince Carter's all-time record for most seasons played in the league.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoFree-agent forward Kyle Anderson agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract with the Golden State Warriors. The 30-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he finished the 2023-24 campaign by averaging 6.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds. Although Anderson isn't the most consistent statistical contributor, his durability makes him an attractive asset for managers in any fantasy format.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoAccording to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the Clippers are interested in free-agent forward Miles Bridges. L.A. lost Paul George to the 76ers, so the Clippers have a significant void to fill. While the 26-year-old isn't in the same league as George from a talent standpoint, he still finished last season by averaging 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 69 appearances for the Charlotte Hornets. At any rate, there is talk of a sign-and-trade between the Hornets and Clippers. Either way, it appears Bridges time in Charlotte is nearing an official end.Source: Broderick Turner
3 months agoOn Tuesday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reported that point guard Monte Morris agreed to a one-year veteran minimum deal worth $2.8 million with the Phoenix Suns. The 29-year-old ended last season in Minnesota following a trade from the Pistons on February 7th. He was not a fantasy factor in Minnesota, as he only averaged 5.1 points, 2.3 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.7 steals in 27 regular-season contests.Source: Gerald Bourguet

3 months agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has agreed to a three-year extension with the team. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, it's a $150.3 million maximum contract extension that includes a player option for the 2027-28 season. Mitchell has just completed his second season with the Cavaliers, becoming the first guard since Allen Iverson to average 20-plus points in each of his first seven campaigns in the NBA. The 27-year-old has posted 27.5 points per game with 4.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.6 steals for his Cavaliers career. Mitchell is a very productive piece for fantasy managers, but he's had trouble staying on the court -- the five-time All-Star has missed 41 games across the past two seasons.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoFree-agent center Drew Eubanks will join the Utah Jazz for the 2024-25 NBA season. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Eubanks will receive a two-year, $10 million contract from the Jazz. The 27-year-old big man was a free agent after declining his $2.6 million player option with the Phoenix Suns. Eubanks posted 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15.6 minutes with the Suns in 2023-24. He was stuck in a backup role in Phoenix and will keep the same position in the rotation on his new team.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
3 months agoMiami Heat forward/center Kevin Love will remain with the team on a two-year contract. The veteran big man declined a $4 million player option ahead of free agency to ink a slightly longer deal. According to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, Love's contract is worth "about" $8 million. Love, who will be 36 in September, had his first full season with the Heat in 2023-24, averaging 8.8 points and 6.1 rebounds in 16.6 minutes. He was limited to 55 appearances after a heel injury kept him out of action for a large chunk of time during the latter half of the season. The former All-Star doesn't have a lot of fantasy value left working as a backup big in Miami.Source: Anthony Chiang
3 months agoDefensive specialist Delon Wright will spend the 2024-25 NBA campaign with the Milwaukee Bucks. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 25-year-old guard has agreed on a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the team. Wright will be suiting up for his ninth different NBA team. He split the 2023-24 campaign between Washington and Miami, registering 4.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals across 15.8 minutes. Wright has been a good source for steals throughout his career, but he offers very little else to fantasy managers in a reserve role. He will be Damian Lillard's backup in Milwaukee.Source: Adrian Wojnarowski
