5 months agoFormer second overall pick James Wiseman will link up with the Indiana Pacers for the 2024-25 NBA campaign. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 23-year-old center has agreed to a two-year deal with the team. It's expected to be a minimum-salary contract for Wiseman, who has struggled to establish himself in the NBA. After being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2020, Wiseman spent the last season and a half in Detroit, averaging 8.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 19.5 minutes. The Nashville-born big man still has time to develop and he's shown glimpses of very good ability, but Wiseman will likely struggle to get action in Indianapolis with Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson ahead of him on the depth chart.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
