5 months agoViviane Araujo (12-5) is set to face Natalia Silva at UFC Vegas 85 on Saturday. Araujo is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jennifer Maia to return to the win column after losing back-to-back fights. Another decisive win over a prospect like Silva would be huge for Araujo in a division cluttered at the top with contenders. DraftKings sees Araujo as the underdog with a salary of $6,700. Throughout her UFC career of 10 bouts, she averages 67.8 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

He appears to be a well-rounded mixed martial artist, with five of his wins coming by knockout, four by submission, and five via decision. DraftKings sees Khizriev as the favorite with a salary of $8,800. Throughout his UFC career (one fight), he averages 104.2 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

Muradov is coming off a unanimous decision win over Bryan Barberena to return to the win column after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Caio Borralho. DraftKings sees Muradov as the underdog in this fight with a salary of $7,400. Throughout his UFC career of six bouts, he averages 72.4 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

5 months agoCharles Radtke (8-3) is set for his second UFC appearance as he will face Gilbert Urbina in the main card opener of UFC Vegas 85. In his debut, Radtke stepped up on short notice and beat Blood Diamond by decision, in a more competitive fight than many thought. Entering his second UFC fight, Radtke is a sizeable underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,200. In his career, Radtke has won five fights by stoppage while he's only been finished once in his career.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
5 months agoGilbert Urbina (7-2) is set to open the UFC Vegas 85 main card on Saturday against Charles Radtke. The welterweight picked up his first UFC win last time out as he beat Orion Cosce by TKO back in May, while in his debut, he suffered a submission loss to Bryan Battle for the TUF 29 championship. Urbina is the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,000 while in his career, he has won four of his seven fights by stoppage. --Cole SheltonSource: UFC

5 months agoMuslim Salikhov (19-4) is rebooked against Randy Brown on the main card of UFC Vegas 85 after the two were supposed to fight at UFC 296, but Brown fell ill during fight week and the bout was postponed until now. Salikhov is coming off a decision loss to Nicolas Dalby in June and is 1-2 in his last three fights. Heading into his scrap against Brown at UFC Vegas 85, Salikhov is a sizeable underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,100. In his UFC career, Salikhov is 6-3 and has won three fights by stoppage, while he's been finished in two of his three losses.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
5 months agoRandy Brown (17-5) is set to face Muslim Salikhov on the main card of UFC Vegas 85 on Saturday. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 296 in December, but on fight week, Brown fell ill and the bout was postponed until now. Heading into the fight, Brown is coming off a decision win over Wellington Turman to return to the win column after a submission loss to Jack Della Maddalena. Brown enters the scrap as a sizeable favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,100, while in his UFC tenure, he's won just five times by stoppage out of 11 wins. Should Brown win, he could get a ranked opponent next time out.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

5 months agoDrew Dober (27-12 and one No Contest) is set to face Renato Moicano in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 85 on Saturday. Dober returned to the win column back in June with a first-round knockout over Ricky Glenn. Before that, he suffered an upset KO loss to Matt Frevola which snapped his three-fight winning streak. Entering his UFC Vegas 85 co-main event, Dober is the underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,800. In his UFC tenure, he has won 10 of his 13 fights by stoppage, while five of his eight losses have come by stoppage. Should Dober beat Moicano could get a top-10 opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
5 months agoRenato Moicano is set to fight for the first time since November 2022 as he will return in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 85 against Drew Dober. Moicano is coming off a submission win over Brad Riddell and missed all of 2023 due to an injury. Heading into his UFC Vegas 85 co-main event, Moicano is the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $8,400. Since moving to lightweight in 2020, Moicano is 4-1, with another loss in there to Rafael dos Anjos at a catchweight in a fight he took on short notice. Should Moicano beat Dober, the Brazilian should get a top-10 opponent next.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

5 months agoRaquel Pennington captured UFC's vacant bantamweight championship when she defeated Brazilian challenger Mayra Bueno Silva by unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC 297. It was a strong return to the spotlight for Pennington, who lost to Nunes as a challenger in 2018 and dropped two of her next three fights before going on a six-fight win streak. Pennington survived a strong start from Silva and then pushed the pace, never giving Silva a minute to breathe. In 25 minutes of action, Pennington landed a takedown and 134 significant strikes. The win sets up a likely matchup between Pennington and Julianna Pena for the bantamweight title. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
Share:
5 months agoThe first title fight on the UFC 297 card featured a women's bantamweight fight between Mayra Bueno Silva and Raquel Pennington. Silva had her submission win over Holly Holm in her last outing turned to a no-contest after testing positive for a banned substance. Prior to that win being overturned, Silva had won three in a row. The fight wasn't pretty or exciting but Pennington did enough to claim the UFC women's bantamweight title. In 25 minutes of action, Silva landed three takedowns and 69 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

5 months agoNeil Magny pulled off an incredible upset win, stopping rising welterweight prospect Mike Malott with a comeback third-round TKO. Magny was the second-biggest underdog on the card at +290. Malott dominated Magny for the better part of three and a half rounds. However, in the final minutes, Magny stepped on the gas and overwhelmed Malott to earn himself a TKO victory. In 14:45 of action, Magny landed a takedown and 57 significant strikes. It was an incredible comeback performance and a finish by Magny that will keep him in the welterweight top 15.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

5 months agoMovsar Evloev improved to 18-0 as a professional and 8-0 in the UFC by winning a back-and-forth decision over Arnold Allen at UFC 297. While Evloev managed to walk away from the bout with a unanimous-decision victory, he sustained significant damage in the final round, courtesy of some questionably legal knees from Allen. In 15 minutes of action, Evloev landed five takedowns and landed 51 significant strikes. Following the biggest win of his career, Evloev called for a featherweight title shot. He just might be the next in line to face the winner of the UFC 298 main event.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
Share:
5 months agoArnold Allen and Movsar Evloev fought to a controversial unanimous decision at UFC 297 after 15 minutes of back-and-forth action. The most talked-about instance from this fight was the knee strikes Allen hit the undefeated Russian fighter, which was deemed illegal. Evloev sustained a cut on his head as a result of the blows, but he was deemed good enough to continue. Allen continued to push the pace but ultimately was unable to get the finish. In 15 minutes of action, Allen landed 59 significant strikes. With the loss, Allen's UFC record is 10-2.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
