Packers Very Interested In Re-Signing Marquez Valdes-Scantling
3 years agoThe Green Bay Packers are very interested in re-signing wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, according to a source. The Packers have called and asked him to wait on making a decision in free agency. Valdes-Scantling has been looking for a one-year deal in the $7-10 million range. The Packers surprisingly traded All-Pro receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, so they are certainly in the market for pass-catchers now. MVS was the Packers most consistent receiver not named Adams in 2021, catching 26 of his 55 targets for 430 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games (seven starts). As of right now, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb are Green Bay's top two receivers, but Valdes-Scantling would be a much-needed familiar face for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
