Ousmane Dieng Produces A Big Game Against Indiana
1 year agoOklahoma City Thunder forward Ousmane Dieng had a red-hot shooting night during an impressive performance against Indiana in the Las Vegas Summer League on Wednesday. He was 3-for-4 with the three-ball and ended up missing just two of his 11 shot attempts during a 22-point effort. The 20-year-old was one rebound short of his second double-double in this year's Summer League games and wrapped things up with six assists and one steal. The Summer League has been all about Chet Holmgren for the Thunder this year, but Dieng has also performed very well, showing that could be ready to make a major step forward in 2023-24. The young Frenchmen played only 39 games during his rookie campaign and was limited to 14.9 minutes. While getting 30-plus minutes in the Summer League, Dieng has posted 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals with 43.5 percent shooting from deep.
