Oscar Colas Makes Opening Day Roster

The Chicago White Sox announced on Sunday that outfield prospect Oscar Colas will make the Opening Day roster. Colas, 24, beat out Leury Garcia and Gavin Sheets for the right field job with a .267 batting average to go along with three homers and six RBI. Colas was signed out of Cuba prior to last season and worked his way up from High-A to Triple-A in his first professional year. Between all three levels he hit a combined .314 with 23 homers and 79 RBI. Colas isn't a threat on the basepaths and his average is unlikely to as high in the big leagues, but he should be a good source of power with plenty of upside. Managers in redraft leagues should consider Colas as a third or fourth outfield with plus potential and he should already be rostered in dynasty leagues.
