Orioles Agree With Wade LeBlanc
5 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles agreed to a minor league deal with starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc on Tuesday, according to a source familiar with the deal. LeBlanc could have a good shot to win a rotation spot for this rebuilding team, and he would make $800,000 if he cracks the major league roster. The soft-throwing left-hander shouldn't have a good chance to make your fantasy team, however. The 35-year-old had a weak 5.71 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with 92 strikeouts and 31 walks in 121 1/3 innings (eight starts) over 26 outings with the Mariners. He allowed 28 home runs and just doesn't miss enough bats (career 6.6 K/9) to be of interest to fantasy owners, especially if he's starting in the tough American League East and with his home park being an excellent place for hitters.
