Omarion Hampton Upgrades to Full Practice on Friday
Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) ditched his non-contact jersey on Friday and was upgraded to a full participant in practice, according to the team. Hampton returned to practice last week and put in four straight limited sessions (including Thursday) before being a full-go on Friday, which is a sign that he's on track to be activated from Injured Reserve in order to play on Monday night versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The 22-year-old former Tar Heel has not played since fracturing his ankle in Week 5. Hampton is feeling good and is trending toward a return in Week 14, but will he immediately have a workhorse role in the Bolts' backfield? The Chargers' coaching staff has hinted that he'll be in more of a timeshare with Kimani Vidal in his first game back, which would make him a more volatile RB3/flex in fantasy, especially against strong Eagles defense.
