Oliver Ekman-Larsson Set To Get Look On Top Power-Play Unit
1 year agoFlorida Panthers defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be getting a look on the top power-play unit next week when the team starts working on special teams in training camp. The Panthers need alternative options on the power play for the start of the season, with Aaron Ekblad (shoulder) and Brandon Montour (shoulder) out for at least the first couple of months of action. Ekman-Larsson, who was brought in over the summer after the Vancouver Canucks bought out his contract, has tallied 175 power-play points for his career. Florida had the 10th-best power play in the league last season, scoring 22.8 percent of its opportunities with the man advantage.
