Nolan Arenado Returns To Cardinals Lineup
6 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado (forearm) is back at third base and is batting sixth in the order on Tuesday against the visiting Atlanta Braves and right-hander Reynaldo Lopez. Arenado has been beat up of late and missed the team's last two games due to left-forearm soreness. He also missed a game last week after being hit by a pitch in the elbow. The 33-year-old All-Star is back in there, though, albeit a little further down the batting order as he tries to turn his season around at the plate. Arenado has tailed off in the batting average department the last two years and is currently slashing only .257/.315/.371 with six home runs, 32 RBI and 26 runs scored in 71 games played. Fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting a return to the 30-homer mark in 2024 unless he goes on an absolutely crazy run at some point. He has never faced Lopez in his career.
