Noah Fant's Role Evolving
Noah Fant is likely to be used in more creative ways in his second season in offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's scheme. Fant's routes in early training camp practices have originated from various spots, and he thinks his practice activity is a sampling of how the team's offense can be more elastic in 2021. He caught a team-high 62 passes in 2020 but also averaged just 10.9 yards per catch after posting a 14.1 mark as a rookie. Getting Fant involved deeper down the field appears to be a priority this summer. There will be a lot of mouths to feed in Denver's offense, and the quarterback situation isn't idea, but Fant should see plenty of targets himself and has the speed and after-the-catch ability to maintain TE1 status throughout the season.
