Noah Fant Lands On COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos placed tight end Noah Fant on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. Fant actually tested positive for the virus, so he'll need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared to play in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys. However, fantasy managers need to have a backup plan in place in case he isn't cleared in time for Sunday's game. The 23-year-old is coming off his worst game of the season, and it happened to coincide with the returns of backup tight end Albert Okwuegbunam and wideout Jerry Jeudy from Injured Reserve. If Fant is out against Dallas, Okwuegbunam would have some sleeper appeal as a TE2, while receivers Courtland Sutton, Jeudy and Tim Patrick could see more looks in a game in which the Broncos are likely to be playing from behind.
