Noah Fant 2021 Outlook: A Top-12 TE That Needs Better QB Play
4 years agoDenver Broncos tight end Noah Fant improved in his second year in the league by catching 62 of his 93 targets for 673 yards and three touchdowns after catching 40 of his 66 targets for 562 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season in 2019. Fant missed just one game last year, but he played through an ankle injury at times and regressed in the yard-per-catch department, going from 14.1 to 10.9. The 23-year-old ranked sixth among tight ends in targets, but his 66.7 percent catch rate spoke to the inconsistency of Drew Lock under center. Denver has a wealth of pass-catching options, and the return of Courtland Sutton means there will be another mouth to feed, but the Broncos should continue to make Fant a big part of their passing game downfield. Fant is a top-12 fantasy tight end, and if Lock/Teddy Bridgewater can be more efficient than the QB play was in 2020, Fant will have more intriguing upside. Let's hope he can get into the end zone more than three times, too.
