Noah Fant 2020 Outlook: Emerging Talent Has Low-End TE1 Upside In Second Season
5 years agoThe Broncos and fantasy owners are expecting a second-year leap from Noah Fant, a first-round selection in 2019. Fant finished with a respectable 40 receptions (66 targets) for 562 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games (11 starts) in his rookie season. The 6-foot-4, 249-pounder out of Iowa looked much more comfortable in the second half, too, and showed some nice chemistry with Drew Lock. Fant didn't have more than five receptions in any one game, but both of his 100-yard outings came in the second half of the season. Denver won't feature a high-volume passing attack with an inexperienced and young QB, but Fant has plenty of upside if you wait on the position as a low-end TE1/high-end TE2 target at the tail end of drafts.
