2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte's fractured right middle finger remains immobilized and in a splint, and the Mets are still waiting for the swelling and discomfort to subside. Skipper Buck Showalter said, "not really," when asked if there was a target date for Marte's return. The 33-year-old veteran has been on the injured list for three weeks and is looking unlikely to return for fantasy managers before the end of the regular season. At this point, they're probably just trying to get ready for their postseason run. It's been a tough break for fantasy managers, as Marte had been providing numbers across the board with a .292/.347/.468 slash line, an .814 OPS, 16 home runs, 63 RBI, 76 runs and 18 stolen bases in 466 at-bats for the Mets.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
