N'Keal Harry 2020 Outlook: Sophomore Showcase
5 years agoPatriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry posted some brutal numbers his rookie season. The first-round wide receiver in 2019 was absolutely the most disappointing in the entire class relative to expectations. Harry saw 24 targets in seven games and caught just 12 for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed five times for 49 yards. His film is a little disappointing given that he failed to separate often (an issue stemming from college) but there were a few flashes to keep believers hopeful. Not to mention, Harry played the season at 21 and missed a large chunk of the preseason along with half the actual season due to a nagging ankle injury that saw placed him on IR. Harry is still young enough to be considered raw and it is not unreasonable to give him a mulligan on this poor rookie season. However, with Tom Brady out of the building and presumed starter Jarrett Stidham also from the 2019 class, there may be some rookie rapport with Stidham and Harry. Brady hardly looked Harry's way in games due to a lack of trust but Stidham might make Harry his first read on throws, providing for a huge target boost that could be fruitful for fantasy even if the throws are not all quality. Harry's best skill is making tough, contested catches and that is perfect in this scenario. He is absolutely worth reaching for a round or two early given how low his ADP is. Harry has insane upside and although it may not all be realized this season, there will be a step in the right direction that should be fantasy-friendly.
