Nick Senzel Has Been Hitting
5 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel (shoulder), who had surgery in September to fix a torn labrum in his right shoulder, has been hitting. Manager David Bell said that Senzel is picking up his throwing program this week and is on pace to be ready around Opening Day. Barring a setback, Senzel may not have to miss any regular season time. The 24-year-old hit .256/.315/.427 with 12 home runs, 42 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 375 at-bats in his rookie season. He'll probably have some more ups and downs in his sophomore season, but there's obvious power/speed upside to Senzel's game, and he'll be hitting in a more potent Reds offense in 2020. RotoBaller has him ranked just outside the top 50 fantasy outfielders.
