Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Schmaltz sustained an upper-body injury in Wednesday's meeting with Dallas and left the game after playing for less than 10 minutes. He took a slap shot to the side of his head. Despite getting hurt, Schmaltz managed to extend his point streak to five games with a power-play assist. The Coyotes still have two more games to come this week and Schmaltz has to make a quick recovery if he wants to be ready for these. The 27-year-old already missed plenty of time at the start of the season and has skated only 45 times for the Coyotes in 2022-23. He has tallied 18 goals and 24 assists, which puts him behind only Clayton Keller on the team's scoring charts.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
