1 year agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo (leg) threw a side session on Friday and will need more bullpen sessions before beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, but his target date for a return to the major leagues is now late August, moved up from September. The 25-year-old southpaw is no longer wearing a walking boot and has made solid progress of late. Barring setbacks, both Lodolo and hard-throwing right-hander Hunter Greene (hip) could return to Cincinnati's starting rotation in late August. Like Greene, Lodolo has plenty of fantasy upside because of his ability to miss bats, although he's likely available in more leagues because of his poor start to the year before his injury. In his seven starts, he had allowed 24 earned runs on 50 hits (10 home runs) while walking 10 and striking out 47 in 34 1/3 frames.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
