San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (ankle) and cornerback Jason Verrett (ankle, Achilles) will undergo MRIs after suffering ankle injuries on Wednesday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expected Bosa, the 2019 second overall pick, to be “alright” but did not have comment on Verrett. Depending on the results, a significant injury for Bosa would negatively impact his IDP candidacy and impair the Niners defensive unit. Meanwhile, Verrett had been competing with Ahkello Witherspoon for a starter job opposite of Richard Sherman. While he’s flashed all-pro talent during his five-year career, Verrett has been unable to stay healthy. He missed all of 2018 with a torn Achilles. While cornerbacks aren’t typically ideal fantasy IDPs, it’s another tough break for Verrett.--Andrew Le - RotoBallerRead More News
