Naz Reid Takes Care Of Business As Starter
2 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid killed it in his first start of the season Friday, leading the team with 28 points in a 112-110 victory over Oklahoma City. He also bagged nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block, while shooting 11-for-18 from the field. The 23-year-old was even on fire from downtown with a 3-for-5 effort in 37 minutes. Reid got the start because Rudy Gobert (ankle) joined Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) on the shelf. Ankle injuries could be very troublesome, so it's unclear when Gobert can return. The first opportunity comes on Sunday versus Chicago, but it's a start of a back-to-back for the team and Minnesota might want to give Gobert an extra day to rest. That would allow Reid to shine again.
