Nationals Plan to Activate Dylan Crews on Thursday
Dylan Crews (oblique) off the 60-day injured list for Thursday's series opener against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports, barring a setback when he serves as the designated hitter on Wednesday for Triple-A Rochester in his final minor-league rehab game. The 23-year-old former top prospect has been sidelined with a strained oblique since May 20 and will be hoping to close out his season on a high note after beginning poorly before he was hurt. The former second overall pick in 2023 out of LSU will return to a rough .196/.266/.354 slash line with seven home runs, 15 RBI, 24 runs and 11 stolen bases. He has two home runs, seven RBI, five runs and a steal in his 12 rehab games. Despite Crews' poor numbers, he should be an everyday player for the rebuilding Nats when he returns.
