Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon bagged an assist to extend his point streak to eight games in Sunday's 4-1 loss to L.A. He had the assists with Mikko Rantanen when Josh Manson opened the scoring 12:28 into the game, but the Avalanche were without Cale Makar (lower body) and couldn't keep up with the Kings. MacKinnon's scoring run includes two goals and nine assists. He currently boasts the third-longest point streak in the league, behind Minnesota's Mats Zuccarello and Dallas' Joe Pavelski, who are both on nine-game runs. It's been another highly productive campaign for MacKinnon, as the Avalanche superstar has totaled 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) in 24 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
