Nathan Eovaldi Possibly Back in the Rotation Friday
Nathan Eovaldi (triceps) next start will likely be with the big league club, not on a rehab assignment. It probably won't be in Baltimore, but playing at home against Seattle on Friday sounds reasonable, Kennedi Landry, Rangers' beat writer, reports. Eovaldi threw a 50-pitch simulated game last Friday, and by what Bochy mentioned, it appears that the Rangers were content with the simulated game and don't feel Eovaldi needs to complete a rehab assignment to get back in the rotation. Considering he only threw 50 pitches in the simulated game, it's likely that if Eovaldi starts on Friday, he will be on a pitch count. Regardless, fantasy managers will be pleased to get Eovaldi back in their lineups, as he has been dominant in 2025 with a 1.56 ERA, 73 strikeouts, and a 0.81 WHIP in 69 1/3 innings pitched.
