Nate Lowe Reaches Base For 22nd Straight Game
4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe went 2-for-4 with a walk during the club's 10-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The hits helped Lowe reach base for the 22nd straight game, which is the longest active streak in the majors and the third-longest stretch this season. The young first baseman also has the most opposite-field hits with 19 of his 39 base knocks going in that direction. On top of that, Lowe is hitting for power (seven homers) and helping on the base paths (four steals). His name doesn't carry the same clout as other pure sluggers but he's a must-have in all fantasy formats. He's fifth in the majors among first basemen with a 140 wRC+ (minimum 100 PAs).
