In a closely contested featherweight showdown on Saturday, Morgan Charriere was on the wrong side of a split-decision announcement after his fight with Jose Mariscal. The first round was close but Mariscal did a bit more to win that round. The second round clearly went to Charriere, with the third round being the toughest to score. In the end, two judges awarded Mariscal the win, while the third official had it 30-27 for Charriere. In 15 minutes of action, Charriere landed two takedowns and 49 significant strikes. With the loss, Charriere is now 1-1 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
