Monty Williams Declines Offer To Coach Pistons
1 year agoAccording to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Detroit Pistons made a "big money offer" to Monty Williams to become their next head coach and he declined. This marks the second disappointment of the offseason for Detroit as they also failed to get a top-three pick in the NBA Draft. That also crosses two candidates off of Detroit's initial list as Williams declined and Ime Udoka took the Houston job. The three remaining candidates from the original list are Milwaukee Bucks assistant Charles Lee, Toronto Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin, and Miami Heat assistant Chris Quinn.
