5 years agoBackup goalie changes are not usually of major importance in the fantasy news landscape but could this move be related to the Taylor Hall trade rumors that are swirling? Cayden Primeau's promotion over the more experience Charlie Lindgren (who has now been promoted) always seemed like a curious decision. It may have been a move made to showcase the young goalie for a potential trade given Carey Price isn't going anywhere and New Jersey's goalies have collectively struggled all season. Just 20 years old, Primeau posted a collective .931 save percentage in his first two NHL appearances. He has significant long-term potential but also showed he might be ready sooner than anyone expected, which makes him a tantalizing trade piece. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
