Mitchell Trubisky Benched In Bears Wild Win
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was benched for Nick Foles in the Bears wild 30-26 win over the Falcons in Week 3. Trubisky was sharp on the first two drives but inaccuracy passing the ball down the field plagued him. With the Bears down 26-10, Trubisky made an awful throw to Jimmy Graham that was intercepted. Head coach Matt Nagy pulled the plug on the very next drive and Trubisky watched as Nick Foles led a furious comeback to send the Bears to a 3-0 record. In the land of fantasy, the fourth-year quarterback posted a decent fantasy line in the first half, thanks to a 45-yard run and one touchdown pass at the end of the first half. But it will be hard to justify starting Trubisky over Foles heading into the team's Week 4 matchup against the Colts.
